Dublin City Council have launched new wheelchair beach mats at Dollymount Strand.
The mats are specifically designed to give wheelchair and scooter uses mobility on sand.
They extend 125 metres onto the beach surface.
These mats are at the end of Causeway Road, and give access to the nature reserve and beach itself.

People can also avail of beech wheelchairs at North Bull Island in the summer months.
DCC say they will extend the mats further up the beach depending on the demand.
