A woman stabbed during an assault in Dublin city centre two weeks ago has died.
The woman in her 40s was walking home from work on January 20th at around 9.30pm
The attack occurred between Georges Dock and Custom House Quay.
She was taken to the Mater Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and has been in a serious condition since then.
Gardai say she was pronounced dead at the hospital today.
A post mortem examination is due to take place which will determine the course of the investigation.
A teenager charged in connection with the attack is due back in court later this month.
