Expert Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather warns that parts of the country which have already experienced a lot of rainfall are in danger of heavy flooding and damage.
“Keeping drains clear, would be a good idea tomorrow or on a good day on Saturday to prepare for some of this rainfall... After Monday, we will see a bit of a reprieve with rain east and becoming a little bit more settled. Still some showers, but certainly autumn has got off to a wet start.”
The south and east of Ireland are likely to see torrential rainfall.
