Nine in ten young people in Ireland think protecting the climate is 'very important' and feel responsible to help.
New research from the ESRI found 63 percent believe using public transport instead of a car is the most impactful individual action.
Just over half travel primarily by bus, tram, train or by active modes like cycling - with large variation by gender and region.
Some really interesting figures about Public Transport / Active Travel contained within this ESRI / EPA climate survey, of 500 people age 16-24.

Leadership Needed
The report's lead author, Ylva Andersson, says young people are concerned and motivated to act.
However, she says "they will need resources and leadership to act on these motivations, given the complexity of the issues and young people’s limited understanding of how they can best help."
