A jury has been sworn in to hear the trial of a 33-year-old man accused of murdering Ashling Murphy.
Jozef Puska, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, Co. Offaly, denies the charge.
Mr. Puska pleaded not guilty before the Central Criminal Court this afternoon.
A jury of 9 men and 3 women has been sworn in to hear the trial of Mr Puska following his arraignment earlier today.
Addressing potential jurors, Mr Justice Tony Hunt said they shouldn’t serve if they engaged on social media about the case.
Ashling Murphy died after she was out for a run along the Grand Canal in Cappincur, Tullamore, Co Offaly on January 12th 2022.
The trial is expected to last for up to five weeks.
