A Dublin Airport Authority spokesperson says a smooth Paddy's weekend at the airport bodes well for the busy summer period.
Around a quarter of a million passengers passed through the Airport in the last three days.
Graeme McQueen says lessons had to be learned after the chaos of last summer. In May more than a thousand passengers missed their flights due to delays in the airport.
Speaking on the issue Graeme says many changes have been made to ensure both terminals operate smoothly. He says there are staff in place with a year's worth of experience who are trained to move between both terminals to alleviate any pressure.
He is ensuring passengers they will not experience the same delays this summer.
Terminal One's Makeover
Graeme also spoke about Terminal One's new change in aesthetics.
According to the communications director the area needed a refresh! This includes new art work, more seating and specialised areas for families.
Recently the well known washing line and cloud quotes were removed from the terminal. They have been replaced with pictures that chart the history of Dublin airport. This includes images of when The Beatles went through the airport and when Katie Taylor returned to Dublin after her Olympic win.
Yesterday there were clouds. When you next Get Back to Dublin Airport you'll find, on the Long & Winding Road to Pier 1 in T1, our knockout new heritage collection awaits, including iconic images of The Beatles, Katie Taylor, Jackie's Army & a little bit of Flying history. pic.twitter.com/hqQ12ZX4HF
