The IFA is calling on farmers and other drivers to share the road safely.
It comes as silage-cutting season starts with an expected increase of tractors and trailers on the roads.
It's also calling on anyone driving farm machinery to cut back on their speed, and to be aware of oncoming traffic.
The silage season is underway so we're reminding all road users to be mindful of extra traffic. Patience on all sides will help to keep the roads safe. https://t.co/MNgTqWM7mu

Be Patient
The IFA's Farm Family and Social Affairs Chair, Alice Doyle, says patience is key during this time of the year:
"Be patient, I think that's the biggest thing for everybody at this point in time."
Alice reassured drivers, they will come to a straight part of the road where it's safe to pass.
"The farmer will have to pull into a yard or turn into a gate," Alice continued.
Concluding, the Farm Family and Social Affairs Chair called on farmers to pull in and let other traffic through, when there's room.
