Flowers have been laid outside St. Michael's College in Dublin, following the death of two Leaving Cert students
Andrew O'Donnell and Max Wall died in separate incidents while on a sixth-year holiday on the island of Ios in Greece.
The 18-year-olds were two of around 90 students from St.Michael’s College to head to the Greek island after their exams.
It is estimated that there are over one thousand post Leaving Cert students there at the moment.
Investigation
Yesterday morning, Andrew O’Donnell’s body was recovered, after he went missing on the island. It is reported that his body showed signs of having fallen.
On the same day, Max Wall is understood to have fallen ill. He was found unresponsive and was then taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Greek police are investigating Andrew O’Donnell and’s deaths as two separate incidents.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's offering consular assistance, while St.Michael's College says staff are available to assist any students who need support.
