Gogglebox Ireland is coming back and it's looking for new faces.
The TV Show is on the hunt for Ireland's funniest, most opinionated telly lovers.
The Irish Gogglebox aired for the first time in 2013 and features 15 groups of families and friends from around the country.
Gareth McGreevy, the series producer says they're looking for something a little different this year.
"This year, we're kind of looking for people who are really interested in current affairs and news.
One thing that Goggle Box Ireland prides itself in is it's very off the week and it's very into news and current affairs, and that's something that the audience resonates with. So we're always looking for cast members who are well-informed, who love reading the news and who can bring that context to the show as well."
2023 Casting
It doesn't stop there, Gareth says they want to add something brand new to this year's series... The Clergy!
Gareth says they have wanted to get a priest or a nun on the show for years now, but it has never happened.
He adds the process of choosing cast members gets more intense every year.
"We as an audience, we love to see ourselves reflected back to ourselves on the telly.
And I think one thing about goggle box is I could see myself and one of the cast members."
"We've been blessed with a great cast... They are people who you would want to spend time with.
So our casting process is very, very important to us. And that's why we do a call-out every year to see who's new out there and who's going to bring something different to the show. And let's face it, we are a nosy country."
It is set to return to Virgin Media Television this Autumn.
