Katy Perry kissed a daisy flower she'd brought and then the ground after landing from her very short trip to space today.

The singer was one of a six-woman crew on board the Blue Origin New Shepherd capsule.

The company is run by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Others on the crew included Lauren Sánchez - businesswoman and fiancé of Jeff Bezos, TV host Gayle King, former NASA Rocket Scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn and civil rights campaigner Amanda Nguyen.

Katy Perry says her daughter's name is daisy, and explains why she loves the flower:

"They grow through cement, they grow through cracks, they can grow through walls," she said.

"They are resilient they are powerful, they are strong, they are everywhere."

Katy's Writing A Song

Katy Perry says she feels "super connected to love" after her brief trip into space.

She's confirmed she'll be writing a song about her experience.

The "Firework" singer was asked why she sang Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" on board:

"I've covered that song in the past," she said.

Katy continued, "its about this wonderful world that we see right out there and appreciating it."
