A man seriously injured in an assault on Sunday has died from his injuries.
The man aged in his 30s was attacked on Larkhill Road in Whitehall at around 4.30am.
He passed away yesterday evening.
Gardaí are continuing their investigations and a family liaison officer has been appointed.
There is a fresh appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
