A new documentary on cosmetic surgery in Turkey is due to air on Virgin Media One tonight.
Thousands of Irish people travel East for turkey teeth or tummy tucks and everything in between.
Journalist Zara King will meet with people who have taken part in so-called "medical tourism."
Zara will also speak to people who have had their lives changed by "botched" surgeries, and will travel to one of the country's most popular clinics.
However, the Tánaiste and Foreign Affairs Minister Michéal Martin has told Virgin Media of "worrying" figures.
Minister Martin says his department has seen 12 very serious cases since 2020.
They include 9 Irish deaths abroad, and a further 3 people with medical complications, mostly arising from bariatric and dental surgery.
Bariatric surgery is the medical term for a variety of procedures dealing with obesity.
Watch ‘To Die For: Cosmetic Surgery in Turkey’ tonight at 10pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
