Men are shedding more cash on Febraury 14th compared to women, according to new research.

AIB's been looking at the spending habits of Irish romantics.
The bank found that men spend 55% more than women on the day.
However most of the money is spent after working hours, indicating it's a bit of a rush for many to get the right gift.
Restaurants and pubs see the biggest spend among the traditional Valentine's hotspots, with card transactions in them up 83 and 58 per cent respectively.
While it seems that many like to make a night of it, with spending in hotels up by over one-third.
