The price of your fuel will increase from next week.
On Thursday excise duty will be re-imposed on petrol and diesel.
Petrol prices will rise by 6 cent per litre, while diesel will rise by 5 cents a litre.
It's the first of 3 planned increases this year, aimed at restoring rates the level they were before the breakout of war in Ukraine.
The Consumers Association of Ireland is calling on government to reverse the decision.
Chairman Michael Kilcoyne says it doesn't make sense after the government predicted a budget surplus of €8 billion for 2023.
Mr. Kilcoyne says the coalition is again "going after the hard-pressed consumer".
