One of them is only in the job for less than a year!
Two gardai are being hailed as heroes after saving two people from a burning building in Dublin.
They received reports of a fire in the early hours of yesterday morning at a house in Monkstown.
They rescued a woman in her 20s from the blaze, before going back in to save an elderly man.
Gardaí Gahan and Garda Carton - who is a probationary Garda and passed out of our Garda College less than one year ago - showed immense bravery entering a very dangerous situation and putting fears for their own personal safety aside to assist others. https://t.co/OE9UHGg90R

Garda Steven Carton, who has been on the job less than a year, said the fire was well-developed when they arrived.
He and his colleague, Gard Gahan, are being held as heroes for their work.
The man is being treated for smoke inhalation at St Vincent's Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
