A vigil has taken place in Dublin City Centre this afternoon in solidarity with the victims of a knife attack on Thursday and those impacted by rioting that night.
The organisation was lead by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, express gratitude for Gardaí, firefighters, paramedics and others who were in "harm's way" on Thursday night.
ICTU has also said its thoughts are with those injured following the attack on Parnell Square, and the wider community.
One child remains in a critical condition in hospital, a woman is in a serious but stable condition.
Owen Reidy from ICTU said "we need and value our migrant workers, they play a very important role in society, in the community and in the economy."
It comes after anti immigrant slogans were heard before and during the riots on Thursday night.
Owen continued, "we want to say Ireland is diverse and open and pluralist."

During the rioting a bus was set on fire on the North side of O'Connell Bridge, a Luas tram and multiple Garda cars also suffered fire damage.
Shops were smashed up and looted, with a significant clean up operation kicking off early on Friday morning.

Dermot O'Leary is from the National Bus and Rail Union.
He says he has "some sympathy" with the authorities but said they were "prevaricating" (basically pussyfooting) around the issue on Thursday night.
"It was hard for them to call," he admitted, "but we had to take action, take our people and withdraw buses."
"We did that in the interests of health and safety," he concluded.
