This morning, Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a collision in Dublin 7.
At approximately 11.15am, a woman was struck by a truck on Manor Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the city mortuary. The truck driver was uninjured.
The area remains closed while a technical examination takes place. Several diversions have been put in place, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible.
Gardaí at the Bridewell Garda Station have launched a public appeal following the incident.
They calling on any witnesses, particularly those with video or dash cam footage, to come forward.
