Julia Michaels
A few years ago, you probably wouldn’t have recognized the name Julia Michaels, but you would have been listening to the smash hits she wrote for the likes of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
Just over eighteen months ago she decided to put herself behind the mic when she wrote the hit single Issues.
Since then she has scored Grammy nominations for best new artist and song of the year and appeared on tracks alongside the likes of Shawn Mendes and Rita Ora.
Julia is following up her debut mini-album, 2017's Nervous System, with Inner Monologue Part I (a six-track project that includes two new duets with Selena Gomez and Niall Horan) and will be performing at The Olympia in September.

Passion for writing
From a very early age Julia knew she wanted to be a songwriter.

Issues
Things changed when Julia wrote Issues.
This was a song she couldn’t let go of.
It was too personal and meant so much to her. Julia decided to keep it for herself.
She recorded it and it became a worldwide hit.
Collaborations
Instead of writing for others she is now having them collaborate on her own music.
Her six track project Inner Monologue Part One she has the likes of Selena Gomez, James Bay and Niall Horan.
