With names like Christian Bale, Matt Damon, director James Mangold, and our very own Caitriona Balfe attached to Le Mans 66 (Ford v Ferrari in the US), you know it's not going to be just a car racing film.
Based on a true story, this film tells of Ford’s desire to become a major player in the car world, to be seen as sexy and sleek like the famous Ferrari.
When partnering with Enzo Ferrari isn’t an option, Henry Ford II decides to have his American motor company build the fastest car in the world and beat the Italians at their own game, at Le Mans 1966.
Caitriona told Sarina that, at first, she was intimidated to be working with Christian Bale but there was no need because he made her feel at ease and she loved working with him.
Caitriona also shared that it’s nice to win awards but they are not the most important thing. Being able to do a job she loves, on a show she like Outlander, is the highlight.
Season 5 of Outlander will air in February 2020.
Le Mans 66 is out in Irish cinemas now.
