Astra Zeneca Boost To Vaccine Programme
Meanwhile, 300,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in Ireland today.
It comes as NIAC recommended those under the 40s will be able to get the jab.
Previously, it was restricted to older age groups.
Green Party leader Eamon Ryan says the new AstraZeneca deliveries are crucial to Ireland’s vaccine rollout:
"The first way of preventing it, the key story is we get 300,000 Astra Zeneca vaccines which are arriving today."
"So those are for people in their 60s, or who have acute medical conditions or other conditions."
