The RSA has been receiving dozens of complaints about "boy racers", with members of the public warning about the inevitability of serious accidents.
Letters included reports of "lethal overtaking on continuous white lines," and "boy racers speeding through town centres".
Others said they've seen a noticeable rise in dangerous driving since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It comes after a series of fatalities on Irish roads over the past week.
